The Suworow Museum in Altdorf is a private museum and shows in a tour in chronological order the campaign of the Russian general Suworow in 1799. The story of the legendary campaign is embedded in the events around the fall of the Old Swiss Confederation in 1798 and tells about the long march of the army over several Swiss Alpine passes.
The museum displays memorabilia and present-day memorials, offers explanations of all the armies involved in this campaign and presents ground finds from the canton of Glarus.
