Alphütten-Museum von 1850

The alpine building is located in the first-rate Schächen valley cultural landscape, at the foot of the Clariden and Schärhorn mountains. It lies on the impressive Klausen-Kammli-Oberalp-Aesch nature trail (a hiking and hunting reserve with two mountain lakes). The alpine hut was extensively restored in 2009/2010 and is a cultural object of regional importance. The exhibition presents itself as a traditional and well-equipped and functioning alpine cheese dairy with alpine lounge; smoke kitchen, cheese dairy with cheese kettle, well hole, fireplace, cheese press with ladstone, mat store as well as valuable original exhibits on alpine milk utilization and alpine farming of yesteryear.
