The Dörflihaus Museum displays valuable documents and objects of the Schächen valley, among others about agriculture and alpine farming, forest and wood, traffic and tourism, people and shepherds, traditional costumes and handicrafts from the time between 1290 and the 2nd World War. The centerpiece of the exhibition is the foundation charter from 1196 and the yearbook from 1290/1515, which lists important family names from Spiringen that played a significant role in the founding of the Swiss Confederation in 1291, such as Walter von Spiringen, Stauffacher, Fürst, Brücker, Herger and Imhof.
Further highlights are the goldsmith's works of the internationally renowned Zurich goldsmith Meinrad Burch-Korrodi (sacral devices of Bishop Vonderach), as well as the document of 1196, which regulates the course of the border between Uri and Glarus on the Urnerboden. In addition, there are pictures, texts and graphics on the passage of the Russian General Suvorov over the Kinzig Pass in 1799.
